Where were you born? North Carolina

How long have you been gardening? 68 years (started when he was 7 years old)

How long have you been at the Eastwick Community Garden? About 30 years

Who taught you how to garden? His father

What do you do with the food you grow? Give it away and eats it himself.

Any advice for young gardeners? Try to eat stuff from the ground, vegetables. It’s better than McDonalds, it’s better than meat. Keep eating vegetables, it makes you a better person. Your body will be better, it’ll be healthy.

What do you grow? Okra, green beans, squash, collards, mustard greens,  other things.

How do you prevent squirrels? Pray.
