One day I was walking through our garden and I thought tomatoes would be a yummy snack so I went and pulled a couple off of the vine then I thought of other ingredients in the garden that would go well with it so I picked some basil that is in the same bed as the tomatoes and helps the tomatoes grow. I added the basil to add a little spice to my salad. Next, I went into our kitchen and rinsed them off. I went in to our food closet and grabbed a bowl, spoon, sea salt, pepper, and some olive oil. Then I got out a knife and a cutting board and I chopped the tomatoes and basil into a nice dice. Lastly, I mixed the olive oil, tomatoes, sea salt, and pepper into a bowl and to top it off I added the basil and I chowed down.
As you can see my tomato salad is a delicious any time snack that has fresh garden- grown tomatoes filled with lycopene to prevent cancer. It’s easy to make and tastes delectable!!!! Next time you want a healthy snack; try my tomato salad recipe instead of a salty bag of chips for a lively, energetic feeling that lasts all day!
