School Lunch- SCRG Edition

It was recently announced by the School District of Philadelphia that dozens of school cafeterias would switch from fresh, daily food production to airplane style, re-heatable, pre-packaged meals. This decision would cut jobs and save money. In the wake of the devastating cuts to school food services in Philadelphia, I asked the SCRG to design their ideal school lunch. Here’s what they said:

‘In a perfect world this is what I would in a cafeteria: seafood, soul food, organic and/ or fresh foods like lowfat mlik, whole wheat bread, vegetables and fruits, sunflower and peanut butter, sugarless jelly, restaurant food, salads, and healthy desserts, etc.’ Kyiona
