After the Recipe Brainstorm, the young chefs divide into two groups. The first group creates the Recipe Flowchart. The second group does Cooking Prep which includes:
- Washing ingredients
- Retrieving specialty equipment
- Setting up cutting and cooking stations
All produce is washed thoroughly before cooking.
When you know the recipe(s) you’re making, you can get out the specialty equipment you need. This includes burners, cutting boards, knives, big pots and pans.
