Where were you born? Georgia but she grew up in Maryland.

How long have you been gardening? All her life.

How long have you been at the Eastwick Community Garden? 7 years

Who taught you how to garden? Her grandmother and reading books.

What do you do with the food you grow? 98% of it she gives to her church.

Any advice for young gardeners? Build your soil. Don’t add chemicals or fertilizers. It takes time but you want good rich dirt.

How do you prevent squirrels? You can’t.
