Where were you born? Georgia

How long have you been gardening? 60 years, probably (he’s 71 now, got started early)

How long have you been at the Eastwick Community Garden? Since 1992

Who taught you how to garden? Parents

What do you do with the food you grow? Give it to neighbors, eats some himself.

Any advice for young gardeners? Learn, keep your head up, and watch what goes on and you’ll pick it up. Grow stuff that you like to eat.

What do you grow? Melons, tomatoes, okra, squash, and a lot of other things.

How do you prevent squirrels? You can’t. I grow enough for them too.
